EXPLANATION WRITING PLAN:

What is a need in our school or community?  

A need in our school or community is more computers so that we could use them as spares for others who have to work in their books.

Computers are very important because it could help us to get better knowledge of things we do not know much about like the ancient days or historic stuff. We also need computers because it would make getting onto our work easier whereas our teachers just need to send us our work and we can simply get onto our work by just clicking what our teacher has sent us.

Computers are so important because they help us finish work faster and up to standard. Computers also are important because there are ways that we can communicate with our families overseas like facebook,twitter,snapchat etc. Just imagine what you would feel like if we had to go back to writing in our books for the rest of our lives. You wouldn’t feel relieved at all because you would really want something to help you get your work completed up to standard and shown to the world.

Other people could use computers for games,social media and for work which is what we use computers for. People would sometimes use computers because they would be trying to hack others gmail accounts or social site accounts and they would be able to have their own accounts which aren’t really theirs.When other peoples accounts get hacked the owners of the accounts aren’t happy about it because they no longer can communicate with their families and friends around the world.

If we were able to get more computers than others would feel relieved because they won’t have to worry anymore because we now have spares. But if we do not get spares than some students would tend to get angry or will be behind on their work. If we were to fulfill this need than students would be extremely excited because they finally have something to keep on track with the other students in their class and they can also keep up with work.

We really need more computers because students will at least be able to catch up with work and they will feel like they belong in their classes because they are not without computers and the other students have computers. That is pretty much not fair and you never know that they could blog their work for the world to see and their work may be so up to standard that they could get scholarships from schools that have seen their work online or on their blogs. So basically I am just saying that if we could get more computers for the students without any then I think that that would be some of lifes good deeds.

The Last Elephant

The Last Elephant

The last elephant is a book that is about a rat disease which spreads all around the world and kills all animals but one which was Lucy ,the last elephant. Two kids,Colt and Birdy were destined to save the last elephant . One evening some strange men came and  stole Lucy,put her  in a container and drove away.

Unfortunately Colt and Birdy  saw what was happening and jumped onto the back of the truck. They fell asleep on the truck and when they woke up they were at this weird place which looked like what was a farm and now was turned into a  place where nothing comes out alive.

The truck  started to move and it drove into the weird looking farm. They went past a sign which said Anti  - Contamination  Farm and the first thing that came to Colts mind was that they may not come out of this farm alive. Birdy said her mum once said  that this was where all animals were killed or  left to starve until death.

Going into  the farm was  hard because there was a small gap  and they had to squeeze themselves so that they can fit into the farm. Luckily  their heads from the roof were about 24 cm  higher.  When they were in they got of the truck  and started hiding in a weird room with boxes of all sorts.

There were also weapons and things which were scary looking.  All of a sudden there was a crackling like an old door was opening.  When they looked they saw Lucy being forced to get out of the container. Lucy didn't look like she would survive the rat flu .

Lucy looked really sick and one man went into a room and came out with a gun. Birdy and Colt gasped in horror as the man put a bullet into the gun. Colt grabbed a  box and was about to open the door and throw the box towards the man but Birdy stopped him and said that Lucy still wouldn't live even if she wasn't shot because she looked very sick.

Cook Strait Kate( Changed Ending )

Cook Strait Kate

Tangaroa the god of the sea watched over Kate Johns as she conquered Cook Strait preventing her from getting hurt. Kate on the other hand just kept on trying to swim to the end. As she finally reaches the end of her long trip she imagines a massive KFC family dinner meal and her munching away on it. Kate then ended up eating KFC and thinking what her next achievement would be. While she was thinking a headline bolted to the screen of the tv showing a man shouting out that youngsters can enter the 2004 Athens Olympics. Kate thought to herself and asked her dad if she could enter and the answer was a big fat yes.

Entering the olympics was so exciting for Kate. On her first race she was really put to the test by a Korean girl who was zooming past everyone and Kate had to keep her lead which seemed like trying to outrun Usain Bolt. She won her races and she raced all the way until she reached the swimming finals. She couldn't believe her eyes when she realised she was beating everyone and she had a chance to make history again but this time she would have made history by winning the olympics swimming category.

She was stunned to see that she got a chance to win either $10,000 or a visit to one of the most famous sports players like Maria Tutaia and Daniel Carter or even Shaun Johnson and Greg Inglis. Every year on the exact day that Kate Johns conquered Cook Strait Kate would celebrate with her family the time she set a world record of being the youngest to swim Cook Strait.

Mango Taniwha

I am a mango taniwha and I am looking for my next meal. I am gliding through the water when I sense the movement in something, I have a feeling the enemies are going to kill me for what I have done. Is this going to be my meal or is this going to be the end for me. All I saw was a human swimming away from something. I think he saw me. OMG he did see me so I will devour him whole and pretend nothing ever happened. Oh no I can see a boat coming towards me. I can see guns which are freaking me out. I will not let them come between me and my meal.

A while later the sound of war startled my ears and I began to run in fear as the gunshot sounds were getting louder and the boat was getting closer. I glide under the boat and rip apart the engine. The people on the boat suddenly start throwing spears into the water but that does not scare me at all. A while later I see my meal escaping but there is nothing I can do.

A minute later a man who looks like he is scared of me jumps into the water to see what has happened,but little does he know that I am waiting for him to get closer to me so that I can devour him whole. What the heck is he carrying ?, it looks so sharp but yet so small. I cannot believe what I am seeing. It looks like the jaw bone of my long lost brother. I am definitely going to shred him into pieces because of what he did to my brother.

Here I am swimming to what looks like my brothers killer getting ready to rip him into pieces. He spots me and he starts swimming towards the boat. But to his concern the boat has disappeared. I then swim after him. When I catch him I devour him and everyone on the shore close by stares in horror as I devour this stupid man for killing my brother. Who am I ?

Ocean Writing

The Ocean

A massive expand of crystal clear water was all I saw ahead of me with a teenie weenie sailboat proudly sailing along with it’s small white sails catching the little sea breeze. This same breeze blows against my skin, keeping it pleasantly warm  in spite of the slow fading sun, making me feel like it is hugging me warmly.

The beautiful colour which seems to be a mix of orange and pink fills the dark blue sky and colours the puffy white clouds. The calm ocean reflects this amazing colour in the way which only it can. The waves gently fall on the the sandy shore, slowly breaking then receding, always in a funny way touching my toes.

The smell which these waves produce is not fishy and disgusting as it sometimes is but rather soft and a little salty which is just so luscious. The seagulls circle in the air, occasionally landing near me. One seagull dives from the air only to lift itself back up again as it nears the water, making a small v shape in the water behind it. I find myself thinking that perhaps this is the most beautiful place in the entire cosmos.
